What is send back?
Oftentimes in the proposal review process, a proposal needs to be sent back to the original proposer or to another approver in the workflow for changes. Send back enables an approver to send the proposal back for changes so the proposal can continue in the approval process.

Proposals can be sent back to the original proposer or to a previous step in the workflow.
Can I leave a comment when sending back a proposal?
Yes. Comments are required when sending back a proposal. Comments are not editable and are visible to all users viewing the proposal, including your name and a date and time stamp when the comment was made.
Send Back a Proposal
How do I access a proposal to send back?
There are a few ways to access proposals awaiting your approval.
To access a proposal from the user dashboard:
- Click My Dashboard in the navigation panel.
- In the "My Action List" section on the right, click the title of the proposal to approve or click View All to view your entire action list.
To access a proposal from your action list:
- From any screen in Curriculum Management, click Action List in the application header.
- Use search or sorting to find the proposal to send back.
- Click anywhere inline with the proposal to send back.
To access a proposal from an approval request notification:
- From the approval request notification, click the View Course button.
How do I review a proposal prior to send back?
New curriculum proposals will display all the information created by the original proposer. Proposals to modify curriculum will display the original and proposed changes side by side.

How do I send back a proposal?
- Click Send Back in the right panel.
- Enter text into the Comment field (required).
- Click the Send Back button.
