Each of the various forms are designed to facilitate the creation, approval and referencing of curricular data, and allow for customization through the use of gadgets. The gadgets used within forms allow users to enter data, select an option from a list, determine what is available for reporting, and can be used to indicate what content will appear within your Catalog.
This section will cover each of the gadgets that are available within forms and their basic use case, as well as noting any other specific attributes such as whether it can be used to route items in the workflow, hide content with Progressive Disclosure, or display within the Catalog.
Any changes to your form configuration will need to be completed by our Support Team, and can be requested by your institution's Designated Support Contact. You can see the specific changes available for each gadget in the Configure a Form article.

Activities
- Allows users to enter in the various activities a course may contain and the relative amount of credit and hours each activity is worth.

Addenda
- Allows proposers to attach and addendum to their draft proposal and to send out an invitation for another user to add a comment on a proposal. In order for this to function, the Show Addenda Feature Flag must first be enabled.
An additional option will appear on the top-right of the form titled, 'Addendum' and will allow the user to enter a request and select a user.
Once submitted, the user will receive an email notification and see the draft on their Dashboard, and details of the request will appear on the form under the Addenda gadget.
Use Case: A proposer wants the include the support of another professor for their proposal to create or change a course, program, etc. Gadget Specific Settings: - User can enter in his/her own addendum

Alias
- Allows users to add multiple aliases (alternate subject code/number combinations) to a course and validate the combination against existing courses rather than creating multiple records for a course where the only difference is the subject code/number.
When used, the provided alias will appear in parenthesis next to the code for the course, and can also be used to search for courses.
Use Case: Links courses shared across two or more departments with different subject code and number combinations. Gadget Specific Settings: - Should be linked to the same option type that the subject code gadget uses

Inheritance
- Once an item is identified in the Inherit From gadget, this will populate the associated data.

Use Case: If a user were creating a new specialization, once the user identifies an item in the Inherit From gadget, the Inheritance gadget will display the data of the inherited item. Gadget Specific Settings: - The information displayed must be configured - one gadget may be displayed at a time, although multiple inheritance gadgets can be used on the form.
- The state of the information may be set to view only, copy, or override.
- When View Only is selected, the field will show as a non-editable field and reflect the information on the parent, and update as the parent is updated.
- When Copy is selected, the user can then potentially edit the field, but the next time the proposal is edited the field will be overwritten with the information from the parent.
- When override is used, the proposal will inherit the data from the parent the first time the proposal is created - but if the user edits the field, then their changes override the information shown. Future changes to the parent will NOT update the field again if the user has edited it.

- Allows users to insert rich text into a proposal (e.g., bold, italics, underline, bulleted lists, etc.)
