System settings affect all catalogs. To configure settings for a specific catalog, see information on configure catalog-specific displays within the Catalog Structure section.
System Settings
The System Settings can be used to adjust the naming convention used for certain catalog elements. For example, if you have renamed an area within CM and would like to see that continued through catalog.
UI Text Replacements

- To adjust the settings for your catalog's theme, log into Catalog and then click on System Settings in the upper-right corner. It will then default to the System Settings tab.
- Under the UI Text Replacements heading, you can add replacement text to any area you see fit in order to customize the content better.
- Changes will save automatically and reflect on your catalogs.
Catalog Theme
The tools within the Theme section will allow you to adjust the colors and fonts used within the catalog to match your institutional branding.
Adjust Catalog Theme
- To adjust the settings for your catalog's theme, log into Catalog and then click on System Settings in the upper-right corner.
- On the next screen, select the Theme tab.
- You can easily adjust the following options:
- Font-Family
- Font-family specifies the font to be used. Usually, an institution already has one defined on their website, so the same property should be added here.
Note: Google Fonts are supported in this setting.- Font Color
- The font color will need to be added using the hex code. If you're unsure, you may need to check with your web or IT team to verify what color should be used.
- Link Color
- The link color will affect the color of the links throughout your content, and is added using the hex code.
- Primary Color
- The primary color is the highlight color visible when selecting items from the navigation, and is added using the hex color.
- When all settings have been entered, click Save to confirm them or Cancel to clear the changes.
Users
Catalog does not offer different roles or permissions; and so users can not be restricted to different sections or whether or not they can edit.
If you would prefer that users do not have access to Catalog, we can remove the app from the app switcher so they will not be able to access Catalog at all; and Admins or preferred users can reference the app by the URL directly. If you'd like to have the app removed from the app switcher, please reach out to our Support team for assistance.
