Content Items house the information typically found in the front, or back of a catalog, such as Policies, Procedures, or the descriptive information for schools/colleges/departments. They may be placed directly within the navigation, or nested beneath a Content Set. As each institution is unique, the information placed within a Content Item my vary considerably.
Create a Content Item
- To create a new Content Item, start by selecting the catalog you'll be working within.
- Click on the Content Items tab.
- Click on the New Content Item button.
- Enter a title for the new Content Item. The field will save automatically as you work - there is no save button that you will need to click.
- There is an additional toggle option available to the right of the title field, titled Hide Title in View Mode. When this option is turned on, the title for the Content Item will not display on the catalog - the only information that will display will be the content housed within the WYSIWYG Editor.
In the following example, the title of the page is "This is a test" which appears in the navigation, but does not appear above the content to the right.
- There is an additional toggle option available to the right of the title field, titled Hide Title in View Mode. When this option is turned on, the title for the Content Item will not display on the catalog - the only information that will display will be the content housed within the WYSIWYG Editor.
- Using the WYSIWYG editor, enter all of the content that you would like to display on your catalog. As with the title field, changes are saved as you work.
- The Share button will provide a shareable link that can be used to invite others to edit or review the content. (They will need to log-in to see the Content Item.) You can see more suggestions for a review process here.
- When you are done adding information to the Content Item, you can navigate back to the Content Items menu by clicking Content Items from the breadcrumb under the tabs at the top of the page.
Edit a Content Item
- To edit a Content Item, start by selecting the catalog you'll be working within.
- Click on the Content Items tab.
- On the Content Items page, all of the existing Content Items will be listed. There are different options available to help you locate a specific item:
- The Search can be used to locate an item by title. The search will begin narrowing down the list as you type.
Note: The Search will only look through the information contained within the title field.

- The drop-down arrows that appear at the top of each column can be used to adjust the ordering consideration.
- Click on the name of the Content Item you would like to edit.
- To the right of each item will be two additional icons, providing the option to either Duplicate (
) or Delete (
) the item.

- Changes can be made to the title or description area, or to adjust whether the title will be visible in view mode. Changes will be saved automatically as you work.
- When you are done editing the Content Item, you can navigate back to the Content Items menu by clicking Content Items from the breadcrumb under the tabs at the top of the page.
Delete a Content Item
- To delete a Content Item, start by selecting the catalog you'll be working within.
- Click on the Content Items tab.
- On the Content Items page, all of the existing Content Items will be listed. There are different options available for quickly locating a specific item:
- The Search can be used to locate an item by title. The search will begin narrowing down the list as you type.
Note: The Search will only look through the information contained within the title field.- The drop-down arrows that appear at the top of each column can be used to adjust the ordering consideration.
- Click the Delete (
) icon that appears to the right of the Content Item's title.
- A confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm the delete. If you wish to continue with deleting the item, click Delete Item. If you do not want to proceed, click Cancel. Note: Deleting an item is a permanent action, and can not be undone.
- When you are done deleting Content Items, you can navigate back to the Content Items menu by clicking Content Items from the breadcrumb under the tabs at the top of the page.
