The Learning Objective Tags can be used within the Outcomes gadget. If enabled on the form, the field for tags will be shown on the outcomes gadget as an additional drop down menu to the right of the outcomes list.
Attributes
Each Learning Objective Tag created will have a single attribute available, and you are not limited to the total number of tags you can create:
- Name
- The name displayed when viewing all of the tags, and what appears within the form to select. The Name can be modified after creation if needed.
Creating Learning Objective Tags
To create a Learning Objective Tag at any time:
- As an Admin, CM Admin, or User with appropriate permissions - select System Settings from the navigation.
- Select Learning Objective Tags.
- In the Name field, enter the name for the tag. This will serve as the name you see on the search, as well as on the form when selecting a value for the rule - so be sure to name it in a way that is easily identifiable.
Editing Learning Objective Tags
Learning Objective Tags can be edited as needed. To edit a Learning Objective Tag at any time:
- As an Admin, CM Admin, or User with appropriate permissions - select System Settings from the navigation.
- Select Learning Objective Tags.
- Locate the tag to be edited. The Search bar can be used to quickly locate the Assessment Scale.
- With the tag visible, click on the icon to the right of the name to update it, and then click again to save it.
Inactivating/Activating Learning Objective Tags
Learning Objective Tags that are longer needed or applicable can be inactivated as needed - or activated again if they need to be brought back into use. Inactivating a Learning Objective Tag removes the ability to select it as an option; but leaves the selection in place on existing records.
Inactivating is used rather than deleting to ensure existing records are not impacted; and allows you to reactivate them at any time should they be needed at a later date. Any reports generated will continue to include the inactivated tags. Changes to the active status of a Learning Objective Tag will be effective immediately.
When a Learning Objective Tag is reactivated, it will immediately become available within any outcome gadgets displaying the category field.
Inactivating a Learning Objective Tag
To inactivate a Learning Objective Tag at any time:
- As an Admin, CM Admin, or User with appropriate permissions - select System Settings from the navigation.
- Select Learning Objective Tags.
- Locate the Learning Objective Tag to be inactivated. The Search bar can be used to quickly locate the Learning Objective Tag.
- Click the Inactivate option to the right of the tag to inactivate it.
Activating a Learning Objective Tag
To activate an inactive Learning Objective Tag at any time:
- As an Admin, CM Admin, or User with appropriate permissions - select System Settings from the navigation.
- Select Learning Objective Tag.
- If you need to activate a Learning Objective Tag, change the selection from Active to Inactive.
- Locate the Learning Objective Tag to be activated, and click the option for Activate.
